Oregon Coast
Here’s a few shapshots from our brief vacation on the Oregon Coast in August, 06. We stayed at a great little motel called “Sailor Jack’s” that has direct beach access. I’d recommend it for any time of the year (it’s about 50 feet or so above the beach, so would be great for watching winter storms from your room, too!)

It was a little hazy when we arrived
But the stairs to the beach were right outside the door
This rock outcropping is about halfway down the beach
... and it provides a wealth of tide pools for a variety of sea creatures
Like this anemone
... or this little guy
.. or this colony of critters
The weather cleared up later on our second day at the beach
Leading to a spectacular sunset
... that faded
... and faded
into the crescent “harvest” moon.
The sunset the next day was even more spectacular
with orange hues
then adding yellows
and finally disappearing below the horizon of the Pacific
... once again fading into the crescent moon.
