Welcome to Virtual Bob!

Up, up and away...

Michelle and I went ballooning this past summer -- something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. The lazy flight over east King County, Washington, was great. Click here to see some of the photos we took.
My daughter, Jenna, graduated this year from Western Washington University. There’s a photo here.

I like to travel, and have maps of where I’ve been on the “about me” page. Take a look!

Check out the "Favorite Stuff" page. For now it's mostly links to culinary establishments I really like. I'll add more later.
I'm also the vice-chair of (and maintain the website for) the Swedish/Providence Community Advisory Committee -- the official advisory committee to the city of Seattle on development under the Major Institution Master Plan governing the hospital campus in central Seattle.
As a member of the class of 2001 in the Leadership Tomorrow program, a group of 8 of us started a community sewing center for east African immigrants and refugees. The archive of our team web page is here.
And then there's the rules for dating my daughter (you think I'm kidding -- I'm not!)  And once you've read the rules, there's the application to date my daughter to fill out. (I posted this when she was a teenager and, luckily, never had to follow through on some of this stuff. I leave it here because i find it amusing.)

If I’m available for on-line chat (Instant Messenger or iChat)
The little AIM guy will show up here
Just click him!

And the weather in Seattle?

You’ll notice a little change in the pictures above. The hair on top decided to begin to depart, so I simply hastened the process. Only the color decided to leave the hair around the chin. What do you think about the “new look?”
