Some places, things, and stuff I find amusing...
 
Here's some of my favorite restaurants and links to stuff I like, am amused by, piques my curiosity, etc.
    •    As Homer Simpson says, ...mmmmmm, beer!” One of the best places to find good, authentic German beer in Seattle  is Die Bierstube on Roosevelt.  (The same outfit also owns Prost in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood, and Feierabend in the Cascade neighborhood.
    •    My favorite Pizza joint (and I say that in the most-complimentary way) is Piecora's on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
    •    ... although I have to say that Pizzeria Uno in Chicago does a great deep dish pie. They should -- that's where deep dish pizza was invented!
    •    The best barbecue in the world? Jones Barbecue, with several locations around the Seattle area.
    •    ... but, again, I have to give a nod to Arthur Bryant's BBQ in Kansas City (Where they've served Presidents including Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton, as well as celebrities like Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw). 
    •    If you like Italian, Danny Mitchell has a local string of Trattoria -- Italian neighborhood-style cafes -- in Seattle, and the flagship is  Trattoria Mitchelli
