Ballooning
Soaring at 2,500+ feet in a hot-air balloon over east King County, Washington, is an incredibly different way to fly.

The balloon casts a shadow over a turf farm near Woodinville, WA
The two of us (front corner) as we get ready to “take off.”
Fully inflated, we’re ready to go
The ground recedes as we float up to more than 2,500 feet above the valley floor
Spectacular views surround us as we float above it all.
Traveling about 15 - 17 mph, it’s a leisurely trip
Some of the views (especially as the sun rises) are nearly biblical.
Seattle (right) contrasts with Bellevue, WA (left) on opposite sides of Lake Washington.
This “Street of Dreams” builders’ promotion  of a few years back is now home to many families.
... And we ended the morning at the Maltby Cafe, where their cinnamon rolls are HUGE and one omelet fed the both of us!
